Energy for transport as an additional value stream
Electricity that is demonstrably supplied to transport can, under certain conditions, be registered within the Dutch Energy for Transport scheme (Energie voor Vervoer). Grid Services acts as a registration service provider for this scheme and handles the registration and monetisation processes for business clients.
This is relevant for, among others, EV charging hubs, commercial charging infrastructure, vehicle fleets, shore power and other qualifying electric transport flows.
From metering point to value

- Administration — arranging authorisations, records and the required audit trail.
- Verification — preparing data and processes for verification.

Registration does not stand apart from the wider energy model. A charging hub or shore-power installation simultaneously affects energy procurement, peak load, grid capacity, flexibility, battery use, on-site generation, congestion management and EAC value.
